Deacon, you've been granted your wish.  And, per the suggestion of IronCity, I've decided to give you the top seed in the Amish division and a bye week in the first round.  So you can continue to live the austere Amish lifestyle for just a bit, while the rest of us pretenders battle it out. 

 Here are the rules

Lower seed is the visiting team.  Higher seed is the home team.

Home team challenges the visiting team to a topic of the home team's choice.  Thus, the home advantage is the topic, and the visting advantage is you get the last word.

Tournament participants CANNOT vote until the finals.  Please respect the rules.

For the first round, you have until next Friday at 5:00 EST to begin your TD.  You can challenge your opponent anytime between the minute this is posted and then. 

Your tournament name or appliance is in parentheses next to your username in the brackets.

Format of TD:  Header, "Deacon Tribute Tourney: Round 1: [Amish name/appliance] vs. [Amish name/appliance]: Short topic"

Fill in [Amish name/appliance] with the name next to your and your opponent's names in the bracket.

Once you begin the TD, please send me the link (I'll make the home teams responsible for this) so I can post the links here and we can all follow the tournament.
