The current washington wizards in my opinion, are a playoff team. That said, they are beginning to frustrate me. First: The trade
Mike Miller and Randy Foye for Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila, Oleksiy Pecherov, and THE 5TH PICK. I know, the draft was not deep, and many belive the wizards became better with this trade. But I think managment needed to make a HUGE move. Why trade the 5th pick for a couple of players who are good, but will not elivate the wiz to championship caliber. Then look at the roster: 7 GUARDS, 2 small forwards, and 4 big men, only Brendan Haywood with experience. It just puzzled me that the wizards could make such a roster. The managment is on the fence. You either rebuild or you become championship contenders. The wiz have done neither. They have invested too much on a guard with a bad knee. THIS is what the wiz should do: rebuild. The team has young players like Mcgee and Nick Young. What was the last straw for me was instead of picking Dejuan blair, they sold their 2nd pick for cash. This team needs to be torn down.
