Everyone, do you realize what's happening in Indiana?  Do you see what Larry Bird did?  Larry developed an all-star roster out of nothing...these people aren't the most famous, but they've got  a lot of heart...i just want to be the first to say that the pacers are a title contender this year...here's why: Danny Granger is a great player and leader and will be an all-star again, the point guards for the pacers are amazingly skilled, and our big men are young and full of energy...everyone needs to get off of hansbrough's back and sit and watch him dominate.  Look out for the pacers, because they are a team with a lot of heart and committment to the game.  They never give up and never surrender!!!!

Really?! I'm a die-hard fan, but come on! Even the most optimistic of us know we're not going to be a title contender this year. Hansbrough is only 6'9" so I don't think he will be dominating anything. We still need better defense all around, too. Especially with our bigs. One regularly fouls out(Hibbert) and another is just a flat-out bad defensive player(Murphy). We need a true point guard, another swingman, and more bigs. These are all things Bird and anyone else in the organization would tell you straight up. Believe me I want nothing more than an NBA Championship here in Indy. It's just not quite there yet. I say another year before we make the playoffs. Bird's not done. We'll see what happens after tomorrow when free agency starts.

ya, i hope we get a all star calliber player from free agency like VIllanueva or someone like him...Hibbert wont foul out like last year...he only fouled out last year b/c he was a rookie...and i think granger is gonna show everyone to get better on D b/c he said thats wat he's gona practice on all summer and hes the leader and they all listen to him.

Title no, playoffs maybe. It is encouraging to see some positive moves after the last few years. Of course us die-hards from the red white and blue ball days will be right there win or lose, but it should be alot easier to watch this season!

I agree, watch Hansborough dominate. Just because he's 6'9" he can't dominate? Ever heard of Charles Barkley. He was barely 6'5". Hansborough will score lots of buckets from the perimiter since he is such a good shooter and they will probably give him that shot early in his career. All Hnasborough doubters will eat their words by 2010. I predict he will be an all-star within 3 years.
