Is Poker A Sport?

I don't see a tab at the top of Fannation for poker.....so, is it a sport? I personally think that poker is totally a sport. It takes skill, you compete against other people and it has become a spectator event. Heck, it is even on ESPN. I don't see anything that would take it out of the catergory of a sport. Either way, poker is awesome!

SKILL? how much skill does it take to pick up cards, look at them, bet chips or money or w/e, put ur cards down, and either lose or take the chips or money or w/e.
I do think that it takes luck.

Poker is totally a sport. You have to have endurance to pay attention to every small detail for 15 hours at a time. They play in these big tournaments for up to 10-12 days playing as long as 12-18 hours a day. Also, ESPN plays it, and this year the top prize is $18 Million. It's truly the last great American Sports Event.
