A news article said that Larry Bird, GM of the Pacers, is promoting whites on his team because half of the team being white. Even though blacks make up 83% of the NBA, they still think it is a crime that 50% of the Pacers is white? 8 of the last 10 draft picks have been black. That is 80%, isn't 80% more one sided than 50%? There is only 17% of the NBA that is not black. This is why I like Larry Bird for this, because he has the guts to have 50% white when 83% of the league is black. It is almost as if whites need a Jackie Robinson type to give white basketball players someone to idolize.
Whether or not he is promoting whites, it pisses me off that people even conjure up thoughts like this. As South Park has taught us all is that treating a race differently, whether it is good or bad, is a form of racism. The NAACP is actually racist, because it wants people to treat a race differently than another.
People say there aren't enough blacks in MLB. I ask, is there a rule that there has to be a certain amount of a certain race in sports? Should a team have to have 33% white, 33% black, and 33% other?
Just think about it.
