Upperdeck has come out with another set of 09 Americas' Team inserts for the Dallas Cowboys. Upperdeck came out with a set of inserts with the nickname in 93. That set was a 15 card set. This 09 set is said to be an enormous 100 card set. Topps got in the act in 2005 with a 4 card set of inserts with the nickname on Dallas Cowboy cards. I think the nickname for the Dallas Cowboys is here to stay dispite ESPN's feeble efforts.

Wow! 100 cards of recognition to the most popular sports' team in the world !
September 26, 2009 Update- First I would like to thank Upper Deck for their efforts and their reverence to the Dallas Cowboys. The set is very nice. Due to certain difficulties to get players to agree to the offers, the set contains 93 different cards. There are five players with the same card having two numbers on the back. Tony Dorsett and Don Meredith were supposed to be in the set but backed out. Tom Landry isn't in the set but Jimmy Johnson is. Most of the players featured have two different cards in the set. It includes alot of greats like Staubach, Aikman, Smith, (not the card on this blog you see above), Bob Lilly, Bob Bruenig, Ed Jones, Harvey Martin, Mel Renfro, Jason Witten, Charley Waters, Cliff Harris, Randy White, Cornell Green, Hollywood Henderson, Chuck Howley and Drew Pearson. I was disapointed to not see Irvin, Dorsett as well as some others but the set is priceless! I only need like 20 cards to have four sets. The set contains players that we hope will add on to our rich history but have yet to contribute, They are Miles Austin, Roy Williams, Tony Romo, Martellius Bennett, Leonard Davis, Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Anthony Spencer, Terrence Newman, Patrick Crayton, Nick Folk, Flozell Adams and Andre Gurode. The set also has a few players in the 60s' days like Eddie LeBaron, Dallas first decent QB and the white Reggie Bush of the 60s, Dan Reeves himself. A little shocker but the set includes a card of one Jackie Smith? Ouch? Hardly a good memory but a Hall of Fame player none the less! Yes, Owens has a card in the set as well. The cards are great! I for one love them! They are in retail stores as well as the internet! Go get em Cowboy fans! Enjoy our popularity and see it on the 09 Upper Deck insert Americas' Team cards of 2009!
