Denver Nuggets:

Remaining Team Needs:
1. Depth - They still needs some more depth at about every position it seems like. With the loss of Dahanty Jones, and Anthony Carter and Linas Kleiza still being free agents, this team needs to finish it's roster. They still need to adress the forward positions as in who will back up Kenyon Martin and Carmelo Anthony.
2. Continue to Build Around 'Melo - I'm not sure if they have enough to match up with the Spurs and the Lakers, or maybe even the Mavs, now that all these teams have made moves. Anthony is going to be a special player mentioned in the same sentence as Kobe, LeBron, and D-Wade, but Denver better make him happy. The Chauncey Billups aquisition was brilliant, but the team still needs to keep growing. Next year, when Kenyon Martin's contract runs up, his value will be VERY high at the trade deadline, plus, don't forget, they still have the $9 million dollar trade exception available.
3. A "Bruce Bowen" type of guy - That was James Posey for the Celtics, that was Trevor Ariza for the Lakers, now the Nuggets need to find that player. Sure, he may leave right after you win the championship, but it will be worth it. It looked like it might have been Dahanty Jones last year, but he decided to sign with Indiana. Some possibilities are Desmond Mason, Rodney Carney, or a player in a trade.
Upcoming Moves:
Renaldo Balkman, Steven Hunter, Sonny Weems, and a future draft pick for Andres Nocioni.
Sign PF Drew Gooden.
Sign SG Coby Karl and SF Ronald Dupree, who are averaging 15 PPG and 14 PPG in Summer League.
2009-2010 Projected Depth Chart:
C - Nene, Chris Andersen
PF - Kenyon Martin, Drew Gooden, Walter Sharpe
SF - Carmelo Antony, Andres Nocioni, Ronald Dupree
SG - J.R. Smith, Arron Afflalo, Coby Karl
PG - Chauncey Billups, Ty Lawson
Minnesota Timberwolves:

Remaining Team Needs:
1. Ricky Rubio - They need this guy in Minnesota...whatever it takes. Pair him up with Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Ryan Gomes, their lottery pick, and a top-notch free agent next year and you've got a future playoff team. I'd get him there if it means getting rid of Jonny Flynn, maybe pairing him with Darius Songalia and ship them out for some talent or cap space.
2. Second Scoring Option - Al Jefferson can't do it all by himself...Ryan Gomes and Kevin Love are really good players, but they need someone in the backcourt (SG) to pair up with Jefferson. They probably won't get that player this season, but in the offseason, they should go looking for the player right away. Possibilities could include Brandon Roy, Joe Johnson, or Michael Redd.
3. As Much Cap Space As Possible - As of right now, the only players that are signed through next season are Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Jonny Flynn, and Wayne Ellington, with Kevin Love, Corey Brewer, and Oleksiy Pecherov having team options. This could be a very special team in a few years. They also have Darius Songalia with a player option, and I would look to trade him.
Upcoming Moves:
Trade Darius Songalia for Greg Buckner, then release Buckner, who has a non-guarenteed contract.
Resign SG/SF Rodney Carney and sign SG Maurice Ager.
2009-2010 Projected Depth Chart:
C - Al Jefferson, Etan Thomas
PF - Kevin Love, Ryan Gomes, Oleksiy Pecherov
SF - Corey Brewer, Quentin Richardson
SG - Wayne Ellington, Rodney Carney, Maurice Ager
PG - Ricky Rubio, Jonny Flynn, Bobby Brown
Oklahoma City Thunder:

Remaining Team Needs:
1. Post Play - The Thunder's backcourt is set for the future with Westbrook and Harden, while Durant is their star at SF. Jeff Green is not a PF, he is a SF, while Nenad Krstic is an average starting NBA center. Nick Collison and DJ White are all good backups, but they need a legitamite starting PF.
2. Veteran Leadership - Most of their best players are youngsters, so they need some players to mentor them. They don't need someone to play major minutes, just to give them some rest.
3. Make Sure They Have Cap Space Heading Into Next Summer - They have cap space now, but I wouldn't go after anyone (other than maybe David Lee). This team needs to continue to bring an exciting team and develop them so in a year or two they can be a playoff team.
Upcoming Moves:
Sign PF/C Mikki Moore and PF Serge Ibaka.
Resign SF Desmond Mason and PG Shaun Livingson.
Trade Nick Collison, Jeff Green, Chucky Atkins, and Damien Wilkins for David Lee (S&T), Wilson Chandler, and Jared Jeffries.
2009-2010 Projected Depth Chart:
C - Nenad Krstic, BJ Mullens, Mikki Moore
PF - David Lee, DJ White, Serge Ibaka
SF - Kevin Durant, Wilson Chandler, Desmond Mason
SG - James Harden, Thabo Sefolosha, Kyle Weaver
PG - Russell Westbrook, Shaun Livingston
Portland Trailblazers:

Remaining Team Needs:
1. Upgrade at EITHER PG or SF - Even with more options at PG in free agency, I think they will be fine with Blake and Bayless splitting minutes. At SF though, you have Marvin Williams, who is a great all-around player who doesn't need the ball in his hands to be successful. They need shooting, and taking away minutes from Steve Blake would be very stupid.
2. Surrounding Aldridge and Roy with more talent - Greg Oden is still working on his game, and when healthy, I believe he can be a top center in the West. Steve Blake is a solid starting poing guard, while the bench of Bayless, Fernandez, Batum and others could be very good in the future. One more aquisition is needed before they are considered a serious title contender.
3. Some More Depth - Even though they have enough talent, they still lack depth at some positions. I have a trade where they aquire Josh Smith, and when Greg Oden is in foul trouble, the Blazers can play LaMarcus Aldridge at center and Josh Smith at PF, similar to what the Lakers did with Bynum, Gasol, and Odom. That would be very effective and none of them would be overworked. And with them aquiring a SF, that gives Nicolas Batum more time rest and still get the minutes he deserves.
Upcoming Moves:
Trade Joel Przybilla, Martell Webster, and the draft rights to Dante Cunningham for Randolph Morris, future pick, and Josh Smith, who can play the role of Lamar Odom.
Sign C Theo Ratliff and SG Keith Bogans.
Sign PF Jeff Pendergraph and PG Pooh Jeter.
2009-2010 Projected Depth Chart:
C - Greg Oden, Theo Ratliff, Randolph Morris
PF - LaMarcus Aldridge, Josh Smith, Jeff Pendergraph
SF - Nicolas Batum, Travis Outlaw
SG - Brandon Roy, Rudy Fernandez, Keith Bogans
PG - Steve Blake, Jerryd Bayless, Pooh Jeter
Utah Jazz:

Remaining Team Needs:
1. Get something in return for Carlos Boozer - Instead of just trading him away for an expring contract, why not get some talent. You do remember he is one of the best big men in the West...you need good role players to play under Jerry Sloan and know what they are doing...players like Keyon Dooling and Eduardo Najera. Plus, New Jersey has the big contract of Bobby Simmons to offer.
2. Size and Strength - Sometimes, they just look like they are playing teams so much bigger and tougher then they are, and signing an undersized PF to a big contract doesn't help. If Koufus developed into a good, young player then maybe this need would go away but as of right now they need to find some big men that can help them.
3. Cap Space - Isn't this what every team needs? Well, considering they don't want to pay the luxary tax, I think it's pretty certain that after the Carlos Boozer trade, it will be very unlikely they move their roster around anymore.
Upcoming Moves:
Trade Carlos Boozer and Matt Harpring for Eduardo Najera, Keyon Dooling, and Bobby Simmons.
Sign SG Morris Almond.
2009-2010 Projected Depth Chart:
C - Mehmet Okur, Kosta Koufus, Kyrylo Fesenko
PF - Paul Milsap, Eduardo Najera
SF - Andrei Kirilenko, Kyle Korver, Bobby Simmons
SG - Ronnie Brewer, CJ Miles, Morris Almond
PG - Deron Williams, Keyon Dooling, Eric Maynor
