So I decided to go against the norm and write a topic about the website, instead of recent sporting news. I was reading some backlogged Throwdowns, and got to wondering about the voting results. What do fans of this site, base their vote on when reading a Throwdown?
In one Throwdown, a blogger talked about the Bertuzzi cheapshot back when Bert played for Vancouver. The guy talked about the "hit" on Matt Cooke who played for Colorado. UMM wake up buddy. If you are gonna comment on an issue, at least get your facts somewhat correct. Even if this guy had a great point, would I vote for him now? Probably not.
In another Throwdown, I agreed with the guys stance 100%. However, I could barely read anything he posted because of the spelling, grammar and sentence structure. Now I know this is the internet and we don't need to type 100% correctly, but how can I declare this guy the winner, when he types the English language like an Iraqi with Down Syndrome? (that is not intended to be racist or insensitive to people with disabilities, it just likens the bloggers English skills to those people who may not have great English skills either).
I think Michael Jordan is the best b-ball player who ever lived. If a guy argues for Bird, and has a great argument to back it up... do I vote for him or the guy who simply says "MJ for President!!! " over and over?
So with that said, what do you guys think? Do you vote for the stance a guy takes on a topic, or do you vote for the better argument?
