I've been a member of Fannation for about 2 years now, but have been doing throwdowns for a little under a year. In that time, I've seen my fair share of voting.

I've seen landslide votes I've seen dead even votes

I've seen questionable voting I've seen intelligent voting

I've seen TDs with tons of votes

I've seen TDs with no votes

But one thing that's common throughout most votes is inconsistency. Recently, it's gotten much worse. Now, this might, and probably will, come across as me whining, but it's annoying when your arguing hard and for your point just to get demolished in the TD.

Example 1:

Me and Jebus agreed on doing an All-Division NFL team recently. I required that you list first in the TD. I posted my team and had to leave the computer. I came back to the TD not an hour and a half later and the voting stood at 10-1 for Jebus. Now in no way am I targeting Jebus or am I mad at Jebus. However, how can you be down 10-1 when all you have done is list your teams. Do the voters know what your thinking is? I had no shot at this TD from the get go. There is no way you can come back from a 9 vote deficit, especially against a good TDer like Jebus

Example 2:

Again, another recent TD. This one was between me and DP in which you listed the greatest 3 year stretch of a WR. He listed his and I accepted the TD and listed mine. In his first argument, he compared Sterling Sharpe vs. Jerry Rice. Statistically, Rice had more yards and TDs. He argued that because Sharpe was a TE, his stats were more of an accomplishment. Now, as some of you might have already noticed, STERLING Sharpe wasn't a TE. He was a WR. So he spent a whole argument arguing for a player claiming he played a different position. What do the voters do? Only give him a 10-4 advantage AFTER that argument and BEFORE I could counter argue. Really? You just read something that wasn't true, yet your voting for him anyway? And again, nothing against DP. He's a good TDer. I'm complaining about voters.

Now, there's many other things that annoy me about voters. In another TD of mine, I said to create an offense from one NFL division, similar to the one with me and Jebus. My opponent listed every position EXCEPT THE ENTIRE OFFENSIVE LINE. Now, voters should not vote for him because he didn't follow the rules. Nope. He got 3 votes. How stupid can we be?

There is also the TDs where a person looks at the title of the TD and forms his opinion before reading any arguments. He looks for which side he agrees with and votes for that side. The voter could care less if the person he just voted for made the worst argument known to man. Now, I've been on the receiving end of this as well as the opposite end. Either way, I hate it. The point of voting is so that you can vote for someone who is a good debater. Just because someone starts a TD that says "Kevin Durant is better than Kobe Bryant," does that mean the person who says Kobe is better automatically gets the vote? No. If the person arguing for Durant is a great debator and/or the person arguing for Kobe is a terrible one then that changes everything.

Now, this has been a lot of venting and complaining, I know. I'll probably come across as a whiner and someone who is complaining because there losing. So be it. I just want this website to be fair. It's not fair to good TDers that they are getting screwed.

And again, I am in no way attacking either Jebus or DP. I just used those TDs as example.

Thanks for reading.

QUOTE(#2):

This has been rampant for quite sometime, I just gave up caring about votes. Just enjoy the TD and what you're arguing over.

It's getting to that point for me. I might have to take a hiatus from Fannation for a while

Is it about the fun of debating or winning?
