Pirate fans--the 30 or 40 that still remain loyal--after a season and a half long trade-off of the most productive and fan favorite players on your roster I know you guys are headed for the nearest 3-river to drown one self. But I 'm here to tell you all that anxiety is misplaced, u should turn around that stress and displace it with happy anticipation. What GM Huntington is doing now is very painful but in 2 years(summer of 2011) you will see a team on the PNC Park field that will compete for a divisional title and Pennant for the next 10 years. The players he acquired in this trade off and what he has coming down the minor-league pipeline is promising and looks to be able to re-start another consistent trend of winning for the club just like their fellow bretheren across town (Penquins and Steelers)....I must remind a lot MLB fans who don't follow the Pirates closely that the organization has 5 world series titles...not bad even if u consider the 16 straight losing seasons the club is currently mired it, although I believe that streak will end this season--don't laugh!
Huntington came on board a year and a half ago and had to undo all the bad scouting and signing of scrub players the previous GM's administered; considering all the crap that was in front of him when he was hired, I don't think he's doing a bad job at all, he doensn't look like a Genius today but lets see what the team looks like in 2 years and then tell me what adjective you will use to describe Huntington
