I have never posted a blog on here so I am giving it a try out. College football is the greatest sport in this country. The fans and the rivalries make it classic. Being a Gator Fan I might make this a bias SEC blog but will try to spread the wealth to all teams and conferences.
MY first thought: LES MILES a good coach? * I feel he is a lucky coach more than good coach. Nick Saban set him up to succeed in the beginning of his career. Nick Saban was a relentless recruiter and spent every detail becoming the best. Les Miles inherited his recruits and his team and won with them. As soon as they were all gone he went 8-5. When he was head coach he was at Oklahoma State he consistently put up 8-5 records and sometimes worse. He had one big win. Why LSU picked him to continue the tradition on I will never know. the only thing he has going for him is the name of LSU in the SEC conference. He is still able to land some big time recruits but I just don't think he knows how to coach them up. This year will me a sign of things to come. If he wins big then he is still top dog. if he stumbles then it will be the future of LSU football. 9-3 is borderline for losing your job at TOP SEC programs.
Pac-10 QB race=Aaron Corp is out of the lineup for a week or two. Will that give Matt Barkley enough time to steal the spotlight and be a true freshmen starter? Whatever happened to Mitch Mustain? Should be interesting to see how Pete handles it all. USC is stocked so full of 4 and 5 star players than whoever is at QB will be able to hand the ball off until they are adjusted.
Big East football just does not excite anyone like their basketball does. Should they even have a BCS bid? Until they add more teams to the football side they should not have it. Make it another at large bid which then means the Big 12 or SEC could send another team!
Finally, What is the biggest trap game on your team's schedule? Being a Gator fan I am worried about the LSU game. LSU is always tough at home and could be on a roll.
Side thought=who will be the new Miami Coach if Shannon starts off 0-4? send me some feed back. Hopefully I get a few hits and if not maybe i will just have to resort to posting half naked models on my blog. Just kidding...I do have some class!

Oklahoma State lucked out getting rid of MILES and getting A MAN...HE'S A MAN! Gundy will lead them to big ones...maybe even a big 12 title...but not this year

SEC football is the best in the country!! I don't think Les Miles is in any danger at LSU.. but he must start beating the big boys in the conference to prove he belongs. I was never impressed with him while he was at OSU. and why Mitch Mustain went to USC to sit on the bench when he could have been starting is a mystery. Big East=Big Least.
A good trap game this year is when Alabama comes to Lexington, Ky. As a UK fan.. if we can beat LSU when they were ranked # 1.. we can ROLL the tide!! watch out in the swamp this year too.. UK loves to eat Gator.. Gators have been feasting on Wildcat hide fot too long

the Biggest Scare Kentucky has put into Florida in recent Years was 2 years ago when Florida had no defense! Kentucky needs to just focus on beating the other teams in the SEC EAST. Kentucky is basketball school and the focus will always drift there. I am currently at UF and as soon as the basketball team won a national championship everyone was like "whats up with the football team"!!!! I was glad Kentucky beat LSU when they were #1.

no opinion either way about Les Miles......BUT the USC quarterback race is of high interest to me!!!! I was rooting for Mustain...but from the looks of it the 2 young ones are in the lead. Why he or anyone would choose to go to USC & 'possibly' sit on the bench....I think its because they believe in competition! That is what Pete Carroll has said from day 1....You MUST compete for the spot @ all times!! Competition is always good for the fan!!
As for the biggest game of our season...in recent years we have lost to the ones we were suppossed to beat handidly!! So I will be holding my breathe for all 5 months!!
