I recently saw a TD today saying that Vick and Stallworth's cases should be handled the same way by the NFL.
Are you crazy?
The TDer said that it's not fair Stallworth was suspended for 1 full year and Vick only got 6 months. Here's why. Porkins pointed out one thing. Vick was in jail for 2 years. He missed the equivalent of two season. Stallworth got 30 days in jail, so he didn't miss any time. To be fair, Goodell gave Stallworth a harsher penalty, which I completely agree with.
Which brings me to my next gripe. How on god's green earth did Stallworth get only 30 days in jail. Now, I pointed this out in the TD and got the answer that "he accidentally killed the guy."
That's bullshi*. Sure he didn't mean to kill the guy, but his actions directly resulted in the death of a man.
Wasn't it Stallworth who had a blood alcohol level well over the legal limit? His drinking and driving resulted in a man's death. Accidental or not, he should be charged accordingly.
He was charged with DUI manslaughter (according, again, to Porkins), which carries a max penalty of 15 years. Now explain to me how on God's green earth he got 30 days? 30 DAYS FOR KILLING A MAN!!!! In my book, that is so unfair, it's ridiculous. I don't care whether the death was accidental or not. He killed someone. He should be rightfully punished.
My main gripe comes with the DA that gave him a plea deal that required him to serve 30 days in prison. And even then, he only had to serve 23! What the hell?
Sure this is kind of old news, but with his recent suspension and this TD, I felt I needed to get this off my chest.

I dont like either people but Vick is getting the worse end of the stick vs a guy who was high/drunk and decided Im ok to drive and killed an innocent PERSON, not a DOG, a PERSON...dont make sense...

VICK'S PUNISHMENT FIT HIS CRIME, HE LOST EVERYTHING HE HAD AS WELL AS TWO YEARS SERVED. STALLWORTH KILLED A PERSON, TOOK THERE LIFE AND DID 30 DAYS. I GREW UP WITH A GUY THAT COMMITED THE SAME CRIME AND DID 9 YEARS IN STATE PRISON. GOODELL DID WHAT THE COURTS DIDNT, PUNISHED HIS DUMB A_S.

The family had a part in that plea deal as well, not just the D.A. They received an undisclosed financial settlement and agreed to the plea deal put forth.

Its funny that people will comment ignorantly about the Dante Stallworth Situation even though they dont know they facts. Dante would have gone to jail for a long time but he got off by technicalities and laws that were designed for differnt sittuations.
