Well its pretty safe to say that the Detroit Lions will be improved this season ('09), even if they win 1 game that's 1 more than last season but the remaining teams (Chicago Bears/Green Bay Packers n particular) in the NFC North, as of tonight, have legitimate reasons to believe their chances of winning the Division and possibly getting a BYE in the first round of playoffs have increased since the 'shady of all shady' professional sports players in recent memory BRETT FAVRE has finally committed to playing for the Minnesota Vikings I'm not ready to forget or dismiss the show Favre put on last season ('08) with the N.Y. Jets, he faded during the last 8 games, and with that image still blazed within my mind I'm certain he will put on the same type of performance this year for the Vikings. Matter of fact it might be a worsened performance because he's just off recent shoulder surgery and he's even n less shape then he was when he went to Jets camp last year (and that's saying a lot considering he came into N.Y.'s camp really out of shape, lazy attitude/motivation and wasn't interested in getting to know his new teammates at any point during that year). The Bears and Packers by week 12 of the season should be in a 2 way battle for the division crown while the Vikings will be scrambling to come up with 'bail-out' excuses for the poor play B.Favre (I anticipate 18 to 20 interceptions for the man who currently holds the NFL QB record for the most interceptions) Favre has had one great season out of the last 5 and that season was his last season ('07) in Green Bay; unfortunately Brett was also the reason the Packers never made it to the Super Bowl that year (throwing a costly interception in overtime against the G-Men). During is on again and off again retirement tenure Favre has been a average QB on the field and it continues to confuse me why teams fall for his annual offseason bull*hit! He's a diva and pouting cry-baby who no longer has what it takes to be an elite QB in this league and unfortunately the Viking organization and its fan we'll see first hand what the Jet fanz saw last year...shock-awe-disappointment. Brett can no longer hold up physically for 16 games (even with his clever dodging of Viking training camp and the first 2 games of preseason) his arm and his mental toughness will be questioned once the temperature in the midwest drops to 15 degrees and he has to visit Soldier Field and take on the harsh elements of Mother Nature I'm going to say it because no body on tv, radio or your neighborhood friendly Blog has the nerve to say it...FAVRE WILL ENGINEER THE VIKINGS OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS...while at the same time setting the Viking organization back 5 years as it relates to developing a Young up and coming fresh Franchise Quarterback I'm interested in seeing what type of reception Favre receives when he visits Lambeau Field for the first time wearing the Purple Jersey of the hated long-time division rival Minnesota Vikings. He will need a police escort in and out of that city and stadium, and it won't be because the Packer fans want to congratulate him on a stellar career it will be because they want to kick his ****!
