Things I'm Thinking About

I have noticed that recently there has been a spat of cheating accusations flying around.  I'm not going to name names, but simply offer a solution.  There is a simple way to avoid having a cheater accept your throwdown.  Here are some suggestions:

1. Don't make open throwdowns.  By that I mean don't create a throwdown that anyone can accept.  Challenge a specific fan, someone you can trust will put up a fair arguement and won't cheat for votes.

2. Don't accept open throwdowns.  Especially ones that have sat open for a long time.  There is a reason other fans aren't accepting the throwdown.  Chances are the initiator has been accused of cheating at least once.

3. Join a Throwdown League.  There are many of these groups on FanNation, and nearly all of them are at least somewhat exclusive.  The creator of the league probably will only accept applicants after some research, and cheaters are often kept out of these leagues.  You can be sure you will face a dedicated opponent who will put up a good arguement, isn't going to ignore you if you go up big, and won't cheat.  Many of these leagues exist, and you can FanMail the creator if you want to join.

I know I hate losing to a cheater.  These are just some suggestions on how to avoid cheaters and have an overall fun time on this site.
