With just until college football season kicks off, Aaron Torres has been breaking down all the top teams.  To see his thoughts on everyone in college football, including Ohio State's biggest conference rivals, Penn State and Iowa, please click here or visit him at www.aarontorres-sports.com

Ohio State (10-3, 7-1 Big 10)

Returning Starters: Offense 4, Defense 7

Anybody watch the show Everybody Loves Raymond?

Have you ever noticed how every episode is exactly the same? It starts with Ray doing something stupid to piss Debra off. Throw in a few awkward appearances by Robert, Frank making fun of Marie with 2-3 laugh out loud comments, and the episode ending with Ray and Debra making up. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Sitting down and thinking about it, I realized that Ohio State is the Everybody Loves Raymond of college football. The faces and names may change, but the plot stays the same every year in Columbus.

Win double digit games. Compete for a Big 10 championship. Go to a BCS bowl game. Every season has the same beginning, middle and end.

So despite Ohio State losing as much personnel as anyone in the top 10, I'm still keeping the Buckeyes at the top of their conference.

Remember, this is the same program that had an undefeated regular season in 2006, just six months after losing four guys in the 1st round of the NFL Draft. And they went to another National Championship game the following year after losing Troy Smith, his Heisman Trophy and their two top receivers.

Simply put, nobody replaces high-end talent like The Ohio State University does. Nobody.

Plus the Buckeyes catch some huge breaks in 2009. They don't have to play Michigan State and get Iowa at home. Penn State has too many holes for my liking (inexperienced offensive line and secondary, unproven receivers). And when the USC Trojans come to the Horseshoe in Week 2, it will only be Matt Barkley's second college start under center.

So doubt Ohio State if you want, but I'm sticking by the Buckeyes. Predicting 10 wins for them is like guessing that an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond ends with Debra and Ray kissing and making up. In other words, it's a sure thing.
