I guess we are in for a story line like Kobe. How they Lakers could even play during his joke pre-trial is amazing.
Now we have Vick who makes 10 million a year but is clearly an idiot. He has talent but his mess at the airport and now the "dog fighting" mess could mean the end of his job in Atlanta. If he is found guilty; it could end his job; while he seats in jail and his millions draw interest. It is clear that Vick's brother threw away his talent at VT for drugs and has probaly gone away from football for good.
Vick is a gifted QB who is at times overrated. He could have however been a "second coming of Randall Cunningham" and accomplished good things. Now he may be the highest paid inmate and all of the talent thrown away because of immaturity and greed.
I guess the Falcons wish they had kept their back-up! I hope Joey can play better than at Detriot or it will be a long season for a good team. Let's hope they do not try to juggle Vick and the courts. Sometimes big money and talent does not always mean winning.
As long as we throw millions a year at athletes we can expect more immaturity and greed. We are shocked at so many athletes using steriods or getting caught doing something crazy. Vick's mess is one of many that has happened and will happen again. We are in a world of greed and we teach kids that big money is the only true way to have a good life. The athlete is pushed year around by the parents greed and they will do anything to finance their families and have the "good life". There will be many more idiots who cannot use common sense as long as we throw away millions and turn our heads from the corrupt and greedy way sports are being ran.
Vick's loss will effect his team and many future athletes. The sad thing is most do not care as long as they win. Do you think Steriods would matter in the WWE if Chris had not lost it? I can tell you that when the dust clears they will still use drugs.
You cannot blame Vick or anyone else who makes millions a year to play a "game". You can guarantee Vick is not ashamed of his stupid choices. Selfishness comes from Greed.
Now it seems his friends are turning their back and his life in football might end. It is clear that if he goes to jail; he is done. It will probally be a huge fine and probation but now that his family and most of his close friends have left; you never know. What is clear now is that he probally has played his last game in Atlanta and he has given a forgotten QB and second life.
Your thoughts on his future and whether he will play again?
