Sam Bradford, last years heiman winner and argueably the best QB in all of college football, went down in the 2nd quarter with an injury in the season opener, which they lost to BYU. He left the game and did not return to action. Then sadly Landry Jones, the redshirted freshman QB who backed up Sam Bradford sucked, and OU ended up losing to BYU 14-13. Sam Bradford's injury ended up being a sprained AC joint. Players with that type of injury generally miss 2-4 weeks. On Monday, OU coach Bob Stoops said it is either a grade two or grade three injury. He also said Sam will not need surgery and he will rehab. Sam has already begun rehabbing.
OU doesnt have the toughesy schedule to when Sam Bradford returns, take a look:
and then in 4 weeks from now, Sam should be ready for the Miami game. So their schedule up until Sam's predicted return is very weak. Even minus Sam, we can still crush those two teams. Then we have a BYE week so in 4 weeks in the Miami game, look for Bradford to be behind center and OU to be like the regular OU.
