After an underwhelming season which saw them finish last in the NFC East under rookie head coach Jim Zorn, the Redskins are looking to make a playoff run. The 2008 season was a bit of a rollercoaster. They swept the Eagles and beat the NFC champion Cardinals, but they lost to lowly Cincinnati and St. Louis.
Offensive Line: C+
Projected Starters:
Chris Samuels
Derrick Dockery
Casey Rabach
Randy Thomas
Stephon Heyer
The line has two very good players, Chris Samuels and Randy Thomas, two solid players, Derrick Dockery and Casey Rabach, and one big hole at right tackle. Jon Jansen had anchored the position for years before being cut this offseason. It appears Stephon Heyer is the frontrunner, but former fourth overall pick Mike Williams is also in contention. Williams, who has not played an NFL game since 2005, is looking to shed that bust label, as well as a few dozen pounds. Overall, it is a solid unit that is, but another injury to their anchor Chris Samuels could be damning.
