So the Guppies, er Sharks have finally completed the Heatley deal. Big friggin deal. Another soft player to go along with Patricia Marleau & Joesephine Thornton. Two supposed superstars who had great regular seasons then decided to take the playoffs off as usual. I don't think the Sharks need one of these spoiled "I want to be traded" clowns. Remember this high scoring weapon is on his third team. Why is that? First of all, this is a guy who got one of his teammates killed while speeding in his sportscar. Then he signs a big 6 year contract with his new team & a year later demands to be traded. This is not a good teammate. And what superstuds did we have to give up to get this obvious hall of famer-a one year wonder who went from the Rocket Richard trophy to the 3rd line & a 2nd line ok scorer who does nothing in the playofffs. Well Ok, that describes the entire team but still. That should tell you what other teams think of Heatley.

This team needs gritty front liners like former captain Owen Nolan. Instead we get Shelley & others like that who are 3rd & 4th liners who play maybe 5 minutes a game. That doesn't get you into the SCF. This team will never win the cup because of this kind of thinking. Yes, Heatley will probably get 50 goals with Joe feeding him, but guess what? Second round exit because the defense has been lowered by trades. Nice job Wilson.
