FANTASY STUDS

QBDrew Brees (N.O.) - 26 of 34, 358 yds, 6 TD's, 1 Int. - Picking up right where he left from last year.  I have a feeling Drew will be headlining this list a few more times this year. Drew Brees will make you reconsider the philosophy of drafting a running back first overall if he keeps this up.

RB: Adrian Peterson (Minn) - 25 rushes, 180 yds., 3 TD's. Mr #1 draft pick did not disappoint out of the gate. Do yourself a favor and watch this guy on Sunday, he is special, havent seen a guy that can run like this in a long time. WOW!

WR: Reggie Wayne (Ind) - 10 catches, 162 yds., 1 TD. Mr. Reliable. With Harrison gone (presumably in Philly running his car wash and Bar) Reggie Wayne will be undeniably the man for manning all year long, he no longer has to share his "reps".

TE: John Carlson (Sea) - 6 catches, 95 yds., 2 TD's. Who knew? I certainly didnt. Looks like Hasselback has found a reliable safety blanket, looks like Seattle will find out what fantasy owners have known for a lond time "who's yoour momma" does not mean championship.

Defense/Special Teams: Philadelphia Eagles - 10 pts against, 169 yds, 5 sacks, 5 Int., 2 F.F., 2 TD's. - These bamas were everywhere. If they play like that the entire way, the prognosticators may be right about another trip to the "Big Game"  for the Eagles. Why oh why were the Carolina Panthers not in the Michael Vick Sweepstakes?

FANTASY DUDS:

QB: Carson Palmer (Cin) - 21 of 33, 247 yds., 0 TD's, 2 Ints. I guess the Hard Knocks curse is now third behind S.I. and Madden. WTF was Ocho WTF was Henry? The Bungles I guess will always be the Bungles. They are the only team in the league that could take the lead and have a ball tipped it the air and caught and lose in like 11 seconds. HA!

RB: Matt Forte (Chi) - 25 rushes, 55 yds., 0 TD's. This is not the performance many were expecting from someone who was considered a number three overall draft pick. (I was never sold on him personally). This may have been a bi-product of Jay Cutler stinking the joint up, but time will only tell.

WR: Santana Moss (Was) - 2 catches, 6 yds., 0 TD's. This hurts me to my heart. But you call yourself a number one receiver with this kind of output with an offensive minded coach and a quarterback that was drafted in the first round? SMH....That's all I have to say about that.

TE: Greg Olsen (Chi) - 1 catch, 8 yds., 0 TD's. Again this could all be Cutler's fault, but with the season this guy had last year, he was held in the upper echelon of TE's. DLR looks for this to change during the year.

Defense/Special Teams (Was) - 17 pts against (1 Td scored by NYG Def.), 351 yds., 1 Int., 1 FF., 1 sack. Whew! Even in this economy $100 million still dont get you ****! The Giants are a good team, so DLR wont pass too quick of a judgement.

FANTASY FREE AGENT WATCH:

QB: Kyle Orton (Den) - 17 of 28, 243 yds., 1 TD. He had better stats than the guy he was traded for, albeit 87 of those 247 yds came on a fluke play inthe end but hey a win is a win right? If Orton is a free agent in you league it might be worth the effort to monitor his progression in case of injury to your starting QB.

RB: Michael Bush (Oak) - 12 rushes, 55 yds., 1 TD. The TD pushes him over the top. Looks like the backfield is big enough for Bush and McFadden, and the Raiders look like they may actually have their **** together. Who Knew!

WR: Louis Murphy (Oak) - 4 catches, 87 yds., 1 TD. The Raiders showing a lot of spunk last night really did impress. Probably because no one was expecting much of anything from them against the San Diego Chargers, a team that has given them fits lately and everyones darling pick to represent the AFC in the  "Big Game". This future young stud from Florida would fit nice in a flex position.

TE: Benjamin Watson (NE) - 6 catches, 77 yds., 2 TD's. Randy WHO? Yeah right. A forgotten man Mr. Watson is when it comes to the Patriots but would be a hell of a pick up if ya need help @ TE.

Defense/Special Teams: Atlanta Falcons - 7 pts. against, 259 yds., 1 Int., 3 FF., 4 sacks. With the ball control offense Atlanta is putting out there the Defense will be rested and able to Tee off on unsuspecting offenses.

That's DaLockerRoom's fantasy moment, good Luck in your leagues, and Watch for DLR's fantasy Moment next week. PEACE!!!
