I've been offered:
- Ryan Grant
- Steve Smith
- Tony Gonzalez
- Matt Forte
- Dustin Keller
There is no doubt that Gonzalez is an improvement over Dustin Keller. For a TE Dustin Keller is going to be solid contributor. But Gonzalez is going to deliver more.
The real question is going to be Forte. To this point he has been a huge disappointment. Logic states that his first big week is coming and will probably have many too follow. There is a school of thought that the Bears have difficulty openning running lanes against the 3-4. So I believe that Forte will start producing.
The flip side of the question is whether Grant will deliever the goods. Obviously if I trade Forte there goes my main RB. My other RBs are Thomas Jones and Darren McFadden. It is likely that this trade would leave me with three second tier backs. I could probably make do if each week I guessed correctly which two to start. But there is something soothing to just plugging in a name and not having to worry about it.
