Tomorrow begins the meat of the Fighting Tigers schedule. They travel east to play the Georgia Bulldogs between the hedges. Many are scratching their heads over this game because neither team seems to have caught their rythm so far.
LSU is having great difficulty getting offense moving this year and the running and Offensive line seem to be the culprits. Teams are stacking 8-9 in the box against the Tigers and have been successful keeping the ground yardage low. Luckily Jordan Jefferson has improved on his down field passing evidenced by his 3 of 4 completions beyond 39 yds. There are weapons that have been for the most part, kept in their wrappers. Russell Shepard being the main shiny play thing that has been underuntilized in the opinion of many fans. Shepard has gained positive yardage every time he has touched the ball this season and is avergaing 7 yds per carry.
The Bulldogs have been able to move the ball on the ground and some through the air but the Senior, Cox has been plagued with turn overs. The Bulldogs have averaged three turnovers per game in its first four this season. They do have an amazing weapon in AJ Green whom is the league leader in receptions and yardage but will face Patrick Peterson this weekend.
UGA's Tackle, Sturdavant is out for the season for a second year in a row with a knee. LSU's Pep Levingston will return to action on the D-line for this game.
Both teams have underacheived early this season and have pulled out close wins by the skin of their teeth. Saturday will be a very interesting matchup and one that will determined the mood for the rest of the season.

I think this is the week we find out if the offense will stumble or gain stride and roll for the season. Miss. St. pushed back as hard as they could and nearly won, if it weren't for LSU's new defense at home. UGA fought hard against a similar squad w/ good defense and so-so offense and kicked the winning field goal at home.
LSU's defense can't win every 1 of them. The offense has to pull their part.
UGA wins a heart-breaker 24 - 21.

Excellent analysis.
Normally, in a game I consider basically even between teams, I give home-field as the tiebreaker. However, in this case, I am giving the better D the advantage and will choose LSU, since it's the SEC mantra that D wins championships. LSU wins 23-20.

I haven't been this nervous about a game in a long time. I just don't want this season to go the direction of last year after our 4-0 start. C'mon Tigers......pooosh, pooosh, pooosh!!!!!
