In response to:
Commish, Vick disagree on leave
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell would like Michael Vick to take a paid leave of absence, but the Falcons star wants to play football this season, sources familiar with the situation said Friday.

Michael Vick, a man given every opportunity to succeed in life has effectively ended his.  From the time he was old enough to play sports everyone coddled him so much that he essentially began to think he could do whatever he wanted, and have whatever he wanted.  Mike Vick finds great pleasure in electrocuting, hanging, body slamming, and drowning dogs.  Mike Vick has no compassion for animals.  Many people have no compassion for animals.  These people have a deep ceded evil inside them that may eventually manifest itself into acts of violence against humans.

So where am I going with all this?  Mike Vick must NEVER be allowed to play another NFL football game.  Mike Vick must be hounded in the streets and alleys on every corner of the globe.  Mike Vick must be made to pay for what he has done.  In a perfect world Mike Vick would be sent to the electric chair, just as he sent many dogs to die by electrocution and hanging.  Mike Vick thought he was a God.  Mike Vick was wrong.

If the NFL does not institute a lifetime suspension of Michael Vick IMMEDIATELY following his CONVICTION, it will show it DOES in fact, support dog fighting and contrary to press releases, does not take the matter at all seriously.  Too many fans love to watch the game with Rex the golden retriever or even their Pitt Bulls.  How do you think this large segment of the entire NFL fan base is going to feel seeing an unabashed dog torturing executioner trot around on the field with that big grin on his face that says, ‘ ha, I got away with it! ‘ While he flips us all the bird, AGAIN!

DO THE RIGHT THING NFL!  BAN VICK 4 LIFE!

July 21, 2007  07:10 PM ET

I won't be watching that **** trot around the field. I will ban the Falcons if vick continues to play. I will not go to or watch Falcons games. I hope the NFL does the right thing. Get vick away from football and away from dogs and away from humans. It is a fact that people that abuse animals are more likely to commit crimes agains people. vick is sick. If the NFL wants to help him, get him some mental help....fast.

I'm done with Atlanta for not immediately taking stronger actions against Vic. Regardless of his abilities, what sort of role model is this man for kids?

Fortunately, the commissioner seems to be a no-nonsense type of man. Hopefully he does the right thing and bans Vic for AT LEAST a year, if not forever (if found guilty).

July 21, 2007  08:23 PM ET

Thanks for the nice comments guys, I agree completely.

July 22, 2007  11:21 PM ET

I agree he must be suspended and banned...Vick should be sacked. I found this funny shirt on www.michaelconvick.com that says it all....CONVICK...how classic. Now he and his thug brother have something in common!

July 22, 2007  11:53 PM ET

Vick should not be banned for life. Nor will he be banned for life. Mike Tyson raped a woman and was allowed back into boxing ring.

But then again, Pete Rose just gambled and look how he was crucified for it.

Who knows, but Vick shouldnt be banned for life, that might not even be needed, he might end up going to prison.

July 23, 2007  12:19 AM ET

I was just trying to imagine watching Vick play in a game this year , and for the life of me I cant do it. The thought is sickening.

July 23, 2007  12:36 AM ET

I despise Vick and I have no respect for him at all, but they can't take actions against him yet because in our legal system it is innocent until proven guilty. Personally, I think he should be banned, just not yet.

A preview of my unfinished blog for tomorrow. See below. Vick is a bad person people. We need to accept that. Just because he plays in the NFL and is rewarded with a 130 million dollar contract does not make him any better than Jeffrey Dahmer.

BEGIN BLOG
Michael Vick is a peculiar individual to gauge, or then again, perhaps not. He has long felt that he could do whatever he wanted, regardless of the consequences; surely someone would cover up his misdeeds. That all changed as revelations of his implicit involvement in dog fighting surfaced in the form of a FEDERAL INDICTMENT. Now I know what you???re thinking, I am just another guy calling for his head without much thought behind my feelings. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Over the past few days I have taken upon the task of researching every facet that is the scourge of dog fighting. I have also read up on the process involved in the declaration of indictment by a federal grand jury. I have learned the following:

1 - Dog fighting is a viciously barbaric blood sport devoid of any moral compass by the facilitators who bring said fights.

2 ??? Almost all dog fighters, upon the loss of one of their ???dogs??? merely shoot the dogs.

3 - Mike Vick sanctioned the torturous execution of losing dogs, again, and again. Seemingly with a complete disregard for the wickedness of his actions. He enjoyed what was happening to the extent he ejaculated in his pants.

4 - The defenselessly broken dogs, after giving their all for MIKE VICK and his iniquitous ways, were shown the following gratitude, per the FEDERAL INDICTMENT:

END OF BLOG, SO FAR!

That is a VERY rough draft. I plan to refine it and make it better. Trust me, what Vick has done is beyond words, literarily. So I have to figure out how I will convey the atrocities he has committed to you. Hmmmm???.

July 25, 2007  05:42 AM ET

Amen, brother! The NFL has to know that we will stop watching their games if they close their eyes to this. We will start watching 1-0 soccer games with skinny little Englishmen trying to break into Hollywood.

Personally, I don't really like dogs that much. I have cats and rats. But my parents always told me that when you see stuff like this, try to put your cat's face on the animal that is being tortured, then you will understand.

I left you a comment on your comments on my blog...

Roger Goodell will make history if he were to allow this satist back on the field after a conviction.

I presume those who believe Michael Vick should not be banned aren't blessed with unconditional love from a four legged family member. That's too bad.

Bottom line: Michael Vick is a murder. He must be locked up and must never play football again.

Ok, let???s get real. These are dogs. Yes, what Vick did was reprehensible and outrageous and he should be punished but the amount of hate directed towards him is ridiculous. Case in point, where were all you same people when the Vice President went hunting for deer? Did any of you protest the fact that he was hunting an animal? No. Why in this day and age are we still allowed to hunt for ???sport???? Did any of you protest the fact that he shot another human and didn???t receive any sentencing? No. If you are going to scream bloody murder then be mindful that there are other prominent people that have done the similar thing and no one say a thing about it. Again, I am not condoning his action but what I am against is all the protest that amounts to a modern day lynching. Get your priorities straight. Ask yourself this? When a fireman goes into a burning building who do they save first? They save the people first and if they deem it necessary and safe they will go back in and get the animals. Do you condemn the fireman for his decision? No.

Okay seriously even if he is banned for life, that doesn't mean he will stop dog fighting if he doesn't want to. Let be real now. I'm not saying what he did was right, nor do a like or think its cool to do such a nasty and cruel thing to a living creature. I know for a fact he'll get some type of punishment for his actions. BUT SERIOUSLY his life will not end and neither will yours, or any other person!!! Its done and over with and he'll pay eventually pay for it either way. But his life won't end, He's more money then many, so even if he was to be banned for life, he's still set. If he's banned from the NFL, then that's what he'll have to deal with, but that still doesn't mean he can't find a different job. People do this type of shi*t all the time and get away with it, he did a stupid thing and will definitely going to pay for it either way you spin it. People can change and sometime deserve a second chance. He'll learn from his action and move on with his life ...

OJ got away with murdering his wife, some people we're outraged, but they didn't do a damn thing about it, they just sat there and let the chips fall were they may. OJ's sick, he a coward for taking two people life and then sitting there acting like he didn't do a damn thing. He'll eventually pay for his actions as well, but ya know at least Vick stood up and was a man about his wrong. He could have taken the easy road, but he faced his wrongs head on, unlike many other people. Look at all these other celebrity especially the teens, doing all kinds of stupid sh** and getting away with it.Its crazy. Vick was wrong, but so are a lot of other people. I hope he gets himself together and get on the right path.

Woah, I had no idea such a word, murderer, would rile up a person. Maybe you're unaware that there are hunting seasons? Hence, hunting, as much as I don???t care for it as a sport, is legal. Dog fighting on the other hand is illegal - it's a felony in all but two states. And, get your facts straight. The person that was shot by Cheney was his friend and they were hunting for [quail] together. It wasn???t some random person that he shot and got away with. Furthermore, I???m sure both had hunting licenses and met all the requirements prior to Cheney accidentally shooting his friend so why would there be charges filed against him? Vick and his buddies did not ???accidentally??? execute the dogs by wetting them down with water and electrocuting them, they didn???t accidentally shoot, drown, hang, and slam the dogs to the ground. It is what it is: They knowingly and willfully committed the acts with the intent to kill. Prior to leaving any further comments on this topic, feel free to read the indictment: http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2007/images/07/18/ind.pdf.

well well, lets see ... he created a box to trap his female dogs in, so to be raped by paid owners of male pitt bulls. he also removed all of her teeth so she couldn't interfere with the raping! he hung and tortured his "non winning" dogs in unspeakable and indescribable acts, that he himself participate and witnessed, with only money and power fueling him. he used weaker ones as training opponents for his fighters! he lived a double life and i am sorry, but he has not done enough to be allowed in a forum that he can excel in money and popularity and remind us of his cruelty he imposed on innocent, beautiful, strong dogs, who till this day carry the scars and history!
what he should do is ...
-dog walking
-dog washing
-vet asst. in emergency rooms for all animals
-asst. in euthanize normal dogs and cats that go unwanted or unadoptable.
-he should clean up after sick and abused dying animals.
-he should see and work in places that care for all kinds of animals.
-he needs direct exposure with them.
yea, some of you don't look at animals as important as humans, but we are caretakers of them and GOD created all creatures ... GREAT and SMALL!!! mike vick should not play in the NFL ... period.
you've done you physical time in prison, now do your penance with the animals and learn how to respect and be grateful just for another chance, which some of us never get.
