Well 2 games in and we have 2 loses, but we did get 1 point out of it though. Game 1 was a dissapointing result for a highly entertaining game. I have to say that if they lose every game but play like that I'll be happy.... no I won't. It was a good game for the most part but I will put that one on Toskala. It's not that any of them were bad goals, but good goalies win those types of games (see Carey Price). I did not mind Komisarek too much, I just hope in the future he tones it down a little bit. The same goes for Francios, he has been a little too agressive, and not aware of the whole picture especially concerning his positioning. I will give these 2 a pass for now and chalk it up to new team, new teammates, and an attempt to establish some leadership and respect. I fully believe both will settle down and be the additions they were supposed to be.

 Washington

I can't say too much about the game (I recorded it and the wife "accidentally" deleted it). I did see the first period and part of the second. I thought that the team left Toskala hanging and he faced some tough shots, but again good goalies step up their game and answer the bell. Gus and looked ok, and a little nervous as well. I am still on the get rid of Toskala bus, but it is hard to put all of this on him at this point.

I really liked the come back. The never say die attitude will do them well in the future, and hopefully inspires them to carry this forward. The Caps are a very good team built around (in my opinion) the best player in the league. They are a high flying go go go offense that is constantly looking for an oppurtunity to make you look bad.

Future prediction: look for Gus to get the next start or at least the game after. If that goes well look for a second start to follow shortly after, like the next game if its not a back to back.

Concerns: If they don't win the next game against the Sens (tuesday) they will be looking at 4 in a row with Pitt (Saturday) next on the schedule.
