One thing that no one is talking about is that the special adviser for the NHLPA that night was a guy by the name of Buzz Hargrove. That might not mean much to some, but those in Canada that know something of Canadian labour know who he is. He is a moron of epic proportions. He was the head of the CAW (UAW counterpart) through a period of labour disputes that may lead to the end of the big 3. His brashness overly high opinion of both himself and the rights of the worker have lead to contracts that are now killing these companies. He is a liar, and a shoot first seek the truth later, then try to cover it up and make himself look like the good guy. Their quick decision and the fallout from it have his fingerprints all over it.

But what a surprise that when there is a fall out he is nowhere to be found. This is typical. And in the past when he is found to be wrong, he forces the issue with stikes and picketing. I wonder what he will do now if anyone else starts looking at him, since he nolonger has anything to do with the CAW. Kind of funny that now that the big 3 are struggling to survive and forcing the unions to make concessions with threats of bankrupcy, he is off enjoying life with no concerns for his own future. Sometimes life just is not fair.
