It has been a peculiar start to the NFL season to say the least. Somethings have stayed constant, others have changed dramatically. The story of the early NFL season may very well be how two teams have completely defied their preseason expectations - namely the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans.

If you would have told any NFL analyst that the Broncos would be undefeated five games into the season and the Titans would be winless in that same time span, they would have been greatly concerned with your mental health. It seemed completely illogical, before the season started that is.

Now with the cards dealt on the table, the reality is...

Not that I really subscribe to the curse, but to be on the safe side, a word of advice to Denver, when the Steelers come to town, win or lose, don't disrespect the Towel!!! LOL! 7 straight Tennessee losses since LenDale's antics. BTW, LenDale has all of 133 yds rushing and 1 TD this year (in a contract year, no less).

As for the Broncs, I'll give them credit for the 5-0 start, but I'm not totally convinced they're for real quite yet, just like I'm not convinced of the Bengals 4-1 start or that the Pats, Ravens and Steelers still aren't among the elite AFC.

@ perfect360 - You make a comical point there. It's funny how the Titans have inexplicably reverted into a mediocre team after the LenDale towel stomp. It defies logic when you think of how Tennessee started 10-0 in '08 and now is starting 0-5 this season. There must be a complete coaching, player and strategy breakdown over there.

And the Broncos are this year's surprise, whether we see them as legit or not. Come to think of it, it's equally funny how Kyle Orton does nothing but win ball games. He's not even that amazing, but manages the game and protects the ball. Who knows the real reason behind Denver's success. For now, they are deserving of the credit until proven otherwise. Maybe a match-up versus the Saints, Colts, Ravens or Giants will expose their weaknesses.
