I will start with boxing at the turn of the century and the first name that comes to mind is the great Jack Johnson who was repeatedly denied bythe white establishment a shot at the heavyweight championship simply because he was a black man And when he finally got his chance,he destroyed the racist  Tommy Burns.So,my question is,how can the white heavyweights of that era proclaim to be the best and refuse to  fight black fighters?Sam mcveigh,another black fighter was considered to be on par with Johnson but yet,he never had a chance at the title either. Jack Dempsey stated pubically that he would never give a black man a shot at the title.

The pundits speak about the integrity of sports but its a sham,especially in professional baseball when black men were shut out completely in that sport until only 62 years ago.My question is,how valid are the records of Babe Ruth and other so-called greats of the game when players such as Josh Gibson were not allowed to play?Would Babe Ruth had ever been home run king if Gibson was allowed to play?Todays sports commentators talk about how steroids are undermining the integrity of the game.My question is how can integrity be undermined when it was never present form the inception of the game?
