Today, as I was talking with two of my ???sports' friends in second block, a very common topic was brought up. We were talking NFL, as these are the only other hardcore NFL fans in my school besides me. The topic? Superbowl predictions. Now, I live in South Georgia, and happen to know a Rams fan and a Lions fan, both of which these particular friends were; how that happens, I have no idea. Well, the Rams fan predicted the Broncos vs. the Patriots and the Lions fan went with the Vikings vs. the Patriots. I budded in, and said the Falcons vs. the Colts. Of course, I'm a die-hard Atlanta fan, any and every team; the Falcons happen to be my favorite. I was immediately bashed and laughed at by these two, which is nothing new. For some reason they will not give the Falcons credit. My theory is that they are mad that they root for two of the worst teams in the NFL and can't stand to see my team do so well. I thought of this, and simply said to them, "Leave the Falcons out of your playoffs, bash them, say what you will; at the end of the season, you will look stupid as Hell."
I'm here to say this to the people of Fannation: Bash the 2009 Atlanta Falcons, predict they WON'T make a deep run and you WILL look stupid as Hell when the last snap of Week 17 is over.
