To start it off I'll have to say he holds the NFL record for most Touchdowns in a season!! He is a league MVP at the age of 28 and is just getting better! He is 12th all time in TDs and 24th in rushing yards! He is dominating his time in the NFL! He is 7th in Rushing TDs and could argueably break all those rushing records by the time he retires!!! He is a top 2 fantasy player in the NFL (I know that doesnt really matter but he is a statistics machine!) He has many years to come! He is on pace to break every single season rushing record!! But some people have ifs......

WHAT IF L.T. GETS INJURED IN A COUPLE OF YEARS AND THAT INJURY RUINS HIS CAREER???

WHAT IF THE NFL TURNS INTO A 2 BACK LEAGUE WITH EVERY TEAM HAVING 2 CONSISTENT RB??? WILL HE GET HIS CARRIES???

WHAT IF AT THE AGE STARTS GETTING ONTO HIM AND YOUNGER RB TAKE OVER HIS SPOT AS STARTER???

What if is a serious question to every football fan in America!! My opinion is that he wont get injured because he is a strong person with high power and durabillity! And no he will not get slower and slower by the years..... HES ONLY 28 and can play for another 8-10 years in the NFL as a consistent starter!!! Phillip Rivers is a developing QB and as long as hes taking the snaps at QB for another 2-3 years he'll average 1500-1800 yards per season which is a very high mark for any RB in this league and with Lorenzo Neal and Marcus McNeill blocking for him in the future everything will be fine and with a smart coach like Norv Turner who will do everything to win and the best chance the Chargers have of winning is with L.T. And Im sure he wont overdue anything with L.T. As for the people that say Walter Payton and others say people like Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders are better then L.T. are wrong!  But my pick for the future is L.T. He isnt the best RB ever right now but when his career is all set and done he will be no doubt the best RB to play in the NFL!

You can't say LT's the greatest ever. He hasn't completed his career yet! If he were to have a career ending injury in the next few years, he will NOT be considered the best ever. If he continues on this pace for the next 5 years, yes, he'll be considered the best ever.

I'll say he only has 6 years left in him. I don't see many 36 or 38 year old running backs in the league. Neal will be retired soon, and McNeil was only a rookie last year, so that could have been a fluke.

He has potential to be 'one of the greatest'". I would not rank him with Payton, Sanders, Smith, Brown, Gale S.; yet. He could pass all of them but could is not did.
