Marc Savard has a broken left foot out for 4-6 weeks put on ir. Trent Whitfieldwas called up from the p bruins.

 

 "BOSTON, MA -Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has placed forward Marc Savard on long term injured reserve (broken left foot) and has recalled forward Trent Whitfield from Providence on an emergency basis.

Savard is expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury. He has led the Bruins in scoring each of the last three years and currently leads the team in scoring this year, with 4-3=7 totals in seven games. In 2008-09, Savard played in all 82 games with a 25-63=88 line.

The 32-year-old Whitfield was signed by Boston as a free agent on July 13, 2009. He has skated in six games for Providence this season and has registered 3-5=8 totals. In his career, Whitfield has appeared in 177 NHL games with the Capitals, Rangers and Blues and tallied 11 goals and 17 assists.

Whitfield will join the team for Wednesday's morning skate at 10:30 a.m. at the TD Garden and will be available to play in Wednesday night's game against the Nashville Predators at 7:00 p.m. (TV: NESN, Radio: 98.5 The Sports Hub)." -Official Bruins press Release

Edit:  Fluto Shinzawa of the Globe is reporting these are going to be the lines.
The Stanley Cup of Chowder is calling this new line up the the Providence Bruins.

Im pretty sure that Shawn Thornton will play i could be wrong. I think the 3rd and fourth line most likely be re-done.
