I'm getting a little sick and tired of all this Boise St vs TCU crap for which 1 team will get into the BCS.

I think both should get in if they go undefeated. I have seen several posts saying only 1 can get in. That simply is NOT TRUE.

I think the BCS will have an issue to deal with if TCU and Boise St both end up going undefeated, as both likely will be in the top 6 of the BCS. I find it hard to believe a BCS Bowl or the BCS itself would risk the outcry that would come from sending an undefeated  Boise St or TCU to the secondteir.com Bowl while a 2 loss team BCS conference team plays in a BCS Bowl.

I dont mind seeing them face each other in 1 of the BCS Bowl Games if they are both undefeated as long as it is not the National Championship !

In all honesty both of these teams play in week conferences in which many other teams would go undefeated also...if they want to play with the big boys then they should get into a big boys conference & see how good they do there or atleast schedule more games against top schools !

The problem is the "Big Boy" conferences as you put it don't want to expand. There has been discussion about the Pac 10 expanding with BYU and Utah in the past and it gets shot down. Why? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

The Big Conferences are the ones behind the BCS. They are the ones behind the current rule not allowing any schools to move up to division one from division two in any sport.

The Big Ten is another confernce ruipe for expansion but they won't do it. Why $$$$$$$$.

Also as for your second point, scheduling more games against quality opponents.

Why would any quality opponent want to play a Boise St, TCU, BYU or Utah? Look at what happens. BYU beat Oklahoma, Boise St beats Oregon two years in a row now. Utah beat Alabama last year. TCU beat two ACC teams this season.

The problem is young can't force the big name programs to play the top programs in the non-BCS conferences.

The simple fact is the NCAA needs to step in, take control away from the BCS conference schools and get rid of the Bowl system and institute a playoff. Right now Division 1 Bowl Subdivision football is the only sport in which there is not a playoff system in place to determine a champion.

There needs to be a playoff system in place with 24 or 32 teams, just like DIAA, DII and DIII have. The conference champions of each conference get it (possible restriction like they must have 8 wins). The remaining schools are choosed by a bracket system.

I don't buy all the crap excuses the BCS conference presidents give for not having a playoff. Too much time away from class. That doesn't fly because every other division has a playoff system.

The simple fact is the school presidents of the BCS conferences are afraid they will lose out on their $$$$$$$$$$$ that they don't want to share.
