AFC East
hdf - New England Patriots - 14-2: Very good signings this offseason especially with Moss, Stallworth, and Thomas. Brady finally has skill and depth at the wide receiver position, let's see what he can do with an upper-tier receiving corps. They lost Dillon and Maroney is injured, so running back could be a problem. Thomas is an addition to a team that finished with just 237 points allowed.
w - New York Jets - 10-6: They are an improving team. They had a hole at running back last season and still won 10 games. Now they have Thomas Jones who has proven himself over the last two years with the Bears. Pennington has improved and Coles and Cotchery both had over 950 receiving yards last season.
Buffalo Bills - 6-10: J.P. Losman has made big strides from 2005 and the Bills now have trust in him. They traded Willis McGahee to the Ravens and are now relying on rookie, Marshawn Lynch to carry the running load. They lost London Fletcher-Baker and Takeo Spikes.
Miami Dolphins - 7-9: They traded for Trent Green, who should be an improvement from Culpepper's dismal season in 2006. They added linebacker Joey Porter to stand beside Zach Thomas. They lost wide receiver/kick returner Wes Welker, but hopefully Chris Chambers will have a bounce back year.

Baltimore Ravens - 9-7: McNair is aging and they lost Adalius Thomas who was a huge asset to their dominant defense. They lost Jamal Lewis and immediately replaced him by trading for Willis McGahee. Thomas had the second most sacks on the Ravens last season with 11. Last season the Ravens had the fewest points allowed last season with 201, but i just don't see that happening again.
d - Cincinnati Bengals - 11-5: Carson Palmer is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and Chad Johnson is arguably the best wide receiver in the league. They lost Sam Adams, but signed Michael Myers to counter that. T.J. Houshmandzadeh and "Ocho Sinco" are part of possibly the best wide receiver group out there. They have a dynamic offense and a decent defense.
Pittsburgh Steelers - 9-7: Roethlisberger will need a bounceback season after struggling in 2006 and throwing 23 interceptions. Willie Parker had a great season with 1,300+ rushing yards. The Steelers lost Joey Porter to the Dolphins. Porter was a big part to their defense and they hope James Harrison can take on the starting role. They also have the second youngest coach in NFL history, Mike Tomlin, who is a drastic change from Bill Cowher.
Cleveland Browns - 6-10: The Browns traded up in the draft to snag Brady Quinn after drafting Joe Thomas only to find that Brady Quinn is not going to start. Charlie Frye will start, Frye only had 2,454 passing yards, but he completed 64% of his passes. Cleveland also signed Jamal Lewis, who was the running back for Baltimore. Lewis will replace Reuben Droughns.

d - Indianapolis Colts - 11-5: The defending Superbowl champs lost a load of defense including Nick Harper and Cato June. They also lost Dominic Rhodes which leaves Joseph Addai as the starting running back. They also lost their slot receiver Brandon Stokley, but they drafted Anthony Gonzales and he will likely play that role.
Tennessee Titans - 7-9: Vince Young now has a year under his belt, but he did not have a very successful year passing the ball. He completed just 51.5% of his passes and threw one more interception than touchdowns and this season they will have an even worse receiving group. "Pacman" Jones has been suspended for the season and that will surely take an effect. They also lost running back Travis Henry, who signed with the Broncos, their starting running back is now Lendale White who only had 244 rushing yards and no touchdowns.
Jacksonville Jaguars - 7-9: The Jaguars are having quarterback problems. Their starting quarterback is better suited as a backup and they don't have a backup good enough to start. They have a great backfield with Jones-Drew and Taylor. They have a weak receiving corps, but one of the best defenses in the league that was 4th best in points against last season.
Houston Texans - 5-11: The Texans are letting Mike Vick's backup, Matt Schaub, take the reigns of their offense. Schaub has wowed fans in the preseason, but he is facing second string players. Schaub hasn't started since 2005. The Texan's offense has only one big weapon, Andre Johnson. They signed aging running back, Ahman Green who will hopefully mentor Ron Dayne. They, as you most likely know, have had a terrible offensive line and they signed Jordan Black to help out there.
AFC South Total Record: 30-34

fd - San Diego Chargers - 12-4: They are dynamic on both sides of the ball. They have LT, the best running back in the NFL, Philip Rivers has really developed, and Antonio Gates could quite possibly be the best tight end in the league. On defense they have two sackmasters, Shawne Merriman and Shaun Phillips. Their only problems are wide receivers and seconday. Also, Norv Turner is a horrendous head coach and is a huge step down from Marty.
Kansas City Chiefs - 7-9: LJ will most likely hold out and they could start Brodie Croyle over Damon Huard because Trent Green was traded! They added Donnie Edwards, who had been a big part of San Diego's defense. They also added Napoleon Harris, who played for the Vikings the past two season.
w - Denver Broncos - 10-6: Jay Cutler only has just 5 starts under his belt, but he was better in his first five starts in almost every category than Elway was in his first five. They have one of the best young receivers in the league, Javon Walker and to replace Tatum Bell, they signed a 1,211 yard rusher, Travis Henry. They signed
Bradon Stokley, Daniel Graham, and Dre' Bly. Dre' will line up across from Champ Bailey, which makes a very scary secondary.
Oakland Raiders - 2-14: The Raiders were the worst team in the league last season, no question. They lost their biggest offensive weapon, Randy Moss although he hasn't been producing recently. Their #1 receiver is Mike Williams, who had 99 receiving yards last season. They might start Josh McCown and Andrew Walter instead of JaMarcus Russell. They added Dominic Rhodes, who will compliment LaMont Jordan at running back. They were the worst team in points scored last season and I think they will be even worse this season. Oakland didn't win a single game against division opponents or on the road.
AFC West Total Record: 32-32

d - Philadelphia Eagles - 11-5: The Eagles hope that McNabb will be fully recovered from his injury and play like he had in the beginning of last season. Jeff Garcia was all they had hoped for, but they don't want A.J. Feely to have to attempt what Garcia had done. Westbrook had a breakout year and opened a lot of eyes. They added Takeo Spikes in a trade and signed Kevin Curtis from St. Louis. They lost Donte Stallworth, who led the league in yards per catch last season.
Dallas Cowboys - 9-7: Tony Romo had a great season in 2006 which ended in a heartbreaker, thanks to him. They have two good, young running backs, Julius Jones and Marion Barber. Dallas was the 4th best in points scored last season and they look to continue that success. In case Romo doesn't continue to succeed, they signed Brad Johnson.
New York Giants - 7-9: Tiki Barber retired and that is a huge blow to this team. He was the leader and face of the team. He had a great season, but decided to retire before he had a very serious concussion or couldn't walk. Eli Manning has yet to prove himself as a quarterback and leader. The Giants need to improve at home as they went 3-5 in New York. They allowed 7 more points than they scored last season and the signings of Kawika Mitchell and Reuben Droughns will help make that gap smaller.
Washington Redskins - 7-9: Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts make, arguably, the best one-two punch of runningbacks in the league. Betts proved himself lasy season when he got the chance to start after Clinton's injury. The Redskins are putting their trust into Jason Campbell at quarterback. Jason has started 7 games in his pro career. Washington signed Fred Smoot and David Macklin, both cornerbacks, and linebacker, London Fletcher-Baker. Last season the Redskins had a losing record at home, on the road, in the NFC, and their division.
