After seeing the Throwdown that the AFC West was the hardest division and saw how people would not agree to that I wanted to review in the NFL which teams have made it to the playoffs in the past six years and to what division they were in. As well over all which teams have been to the Super Bowl and How they should be compared to one another Franchise Vs. Franchise. First off NFC East does appear to have the most playoff teams over the past six years then AFC East then AFC then AFC North then the West in General. A tiny little note in 2001 prior to the realignment what would be called the AFC South NO TEAM made the playoffs, I am sorry that says something there.
Division AFC NFC - Teams representing the division in the playoffs.
East 10 11
North 9 8
South 8 8
West 9 9
Then I wanted to see how the Super Bowl Compared. Of Course We all know that the NFC has only won ONCE in the past 6 years but what about Overall? I wanted to rank the teams fairly with the amount of Appearances and then by the amount of wins then by point totals.
Team Wins Loss Total Points For
- Cowboys 5 3 8 221
- Steelers 5 1 6 141
- Broncos 2 4 6 115
- 49ers 5 0 5 188
- Raiders 3 2 5 132
- Redskins 3 2 5 122
- Patriots 3 2 5 107
- Dolphins 2 3 5 74
- Packers 3 1 4 127
- Bills 0 4 4 73
