Ted Ginn was having a bad week. After dropping two crucial passes against the New Orleans Saints during last Sunday's loss, he learned that Coach Sparano was going to re-evaluate his starting wide receiver position. On Wednesday, an open competition was held in practice and Brian Hartline was named the new starter.
The only pass that was thrown in Ginn's direction was over thrown out of bounds.
With Patrick Cobbs out for the year with a torn ACL, Ted Ginn resumed the role of kick returner last week against the Saints.
On his first two kickoff returns Ginn was tackled by New York Jets Kicker, Jay Feely. They weren't your typical stretched out, reach-and-hope type tackles. Feely ran past Miami's special teams unit and didn't allow Ginn to pass the 25 yard line. Things were not looking good for Ginn.
And then things changed.
The Jets had just taken a 6-3 lead.....
