Special Teams

The Cowboys special teams have vastly improved from last season with DeCammilla as special teams coach.  Patrick Crayton returned another punt for a touchdown and the kicker added two more touchbacks.  It is obvious that DeCammilla's presence and attitude has begun to transfer to the players, who are playing great special teams.  Folk missed a field goal that could eventually cost him his job if he continues to miss even though he has only missed 3 all season long.  Won't happen this year, but it could happen next year.

 Defensively

The Cowboys defense put the pressure on Hasselback all day long and DeMarcus Ware recorded another sack which gives 5 for the season.  The defense also recovered a fumble and did a nice job against the run.  Coach Phillips is getting the defense to play hard and smarter.

Offensively

Miles Austin had another good game for the Cowboys, who has become the go to guy.  But lets not bury Roy Williams just yet.  Romo and Williams are still out of sync and Williams continues to play unselfishly by blocking downfield for his teammates.  The running game was solid all game long.  The only blemish was Romo's fumble, but that one wasn't all his fault.  The Coaches can take blame for his fumble.  The best part is that Romo did not throw an interception for a third straight game.

Coaching

The Coaching staff did a great job of preparing and keeping the team focused on the Seahawks.  There are only two concerns for the coaching staff.  These are the 36 passes that Romo threw and hopefully the strategy is to loosen-up defenses for the upcoming games and this does not become a trend.  In addition, the pass-play that was called when Romo fumbled with 8:35 minutes left to play should have been a run and start milking the clock by using the run more.

I was happy but then again we played the Seahawks. Not a "real" team according to some cowboy "lovers" out there...

Nice read. I was happy throughout the day from this win. First place is nice to hear again, lets hope they keep it up as of now, they are contenders from what they shown but how long will that last. Already heard some sort of comotion about a WR..dont know the full story yet tho.
