One thing that is for sure is more often than not when you make a prediction for a win in any game especially a championship game/series it just adds that unnecessary negative pressure to perform thus inducing the "jinx". If Jimmy Rollins would've just not predicted anything and just said something along the lines of "we'll see what happens on the field," and let the playing do all the talking , then more than likely the outcome would've been different.
