New to New England

Just finished watching the playoff game between RSL and Columbus Crew. Columbus Crew was #1 in the league with points and defending MLS cup champions. RSL has had a terrible record this year for away games, but did have a 1 goal advantage from their game last week at home. Despite being down in the game until shortly before half-time, they came back to beat Columbus 3-2, knocking Columbus out of the playoffs.

I don't anyone (other than maybe a handful of RSL fans) expected this. I for one am proud of the way RSL performed these last two games and was rooting for them in this round. Their next match will be against either the Chicago Fire or New England Revolution, depending on who wins between those two this weekend.

As a Revs fan I'm happy to see the results end up this way. If the Revs do advance (which I they have a good shot in doing), I think it they have a much better chance beating RSL at home than against the Crew. Not only do I want the Revs to go on for the sake of going on, but I also want them to advance so that I have another chance of going to an MLS game this season.

So congratulations to Salt Lake, we'll hopefully be seeing you in Foxboru in a week or so.
