Mike D'antonni is not a great coach. I'm watching games wher he's laughing and joking while the team gets blown out by 20 and 30 points. Someone needs to say it. He sti nks. This is a good coach in a european team, not an NBA team. The only time the guy was successful was with Amare Stoudamire and Steve Nash. A good coach can win with anyone, and Mike cannot, therefore give him the boot.
The guy is playing lineups with 2 SF's and a PF in a lineup and jacking up 30 3's a game? Meanwhile, the team is going to tank the season, get the 1st pick in the draft and give it to Utah.
Is it possibe to play Milicic, Curry, and Lee at C, while using Harrington, Lee, and Hill at PF? You know, almost like a traditional team? maybe have each player have a 2 shot limit for 3's. It would be cool to see players cutting, posting, and shooting mid range shots. Almost like a real basketball game and not a game of H-O-R-S-E.
Last thing being said. Last year the draft was thick with centers (Hibbert, LOpez'sm Jordan) and the team drafts Gallanari? This year the draft is thick with guards (Lawson, Maynor, Jennings, Demar Derozan) so the team drafts Channing Frye's little brother. FIRE THIS COACH. His favorite draft choices stink. Can't coach and asks for bad draft picks.
Imagine having drafted Brook Lopez or Hibbert and the team has a legit 18 and 10 center with shot blocking. The team by just following normal logic of need positions could be playing Brook Lopez, David Lee, Chandler, Demar Derozan, and Duhon. Or Larry hughes and Brandon Jennings, or Ty Lawson.
