Greg McElroy just had a big game against LSU, throwing for 270 yards and two (2) touchdowns. While at times he seemed inaccurate during the first half, he stepped it up in the third and fourth quarters. Mark Ingram ran for 144 yards on 22 carries. Mississippi State had a bye week. They will be especially motivated for this one because they have to win two of their next three to become bowl-elgible. This one will be key in Miss State going to a bowl. They play Alabama, Arkansas, and finally Ole Miss. Since Arkansas and Ole Miss are so unpredictable you can never tell how it will turn out. Mississippi State will expect a huge crowd because they added temporary seating and standing-room tickets. They nearly upset LSU but LSU survived with a goal-line stand. Alabama's defense is tough- nearly immoveable, and even when McElroy is inaccurate Mark Ingram is Mister Reliable.
My Prediction is Alabama-20, Mississippi State-7
