The Astros have designated Ensberg for assignment. They now have 10 days to give him the boot, Round-Rock him, or make him some other team's problem with the prospect of mending the Astros' problems with one or two new guys. Ensberg is a great guy, and I wish him all the best. He's been with this organization his entire professional career and I know it's been difficult for them to let him go. There was just nothing else anybody here could do for him. Hopefully he'll have better luck with a change of scenery. I'm really rooting for the guy, and I hope he eventually comes back if the time is ever right. But I think now the time is right to say, sayonara.
In "DFA-ing" Mo, the Astros free up a roster spot for RP Mark McLemore. Wiggington is in today's lineup for the Astros, batting 5th.
