I obviously see Donovan McNabb much differently than the majority of the members of FanNation.  I see McNabb as a very talented quarterback who has suffered injuries that would have had a similar affect on any player: a broken leg and a torn ACL.  I won't pretend like I even know the details of his abdominal hernia.  If anything, people should be in awe of the fact that in the game in which he broke his leg, the injury took place in the first half (maybe even the first quarter) and he finished the game!  He threw multiple touchdowns also.  He is tough, he is gritty and he is a consummate professional.  He has shown dignity when I secretly hoped he would vent a little frustration.  Even in the midst of all the crap thrown at him, he hasn't been anywhere near negative.  When Philly fan booed him at the draft, he smiled and said how excited he was to be and Eagle.  When he was criticized because he displayed too much of his athletic ability, he continued to win games with his legs.  When T.O. decided that he wasn't getting enough attention, McNabb kept his head up.  It's impossible for me to say what causes the bias against McNabb.  Maybe the whole world hates the Eagles and I don't realize it.  Maybe it's because you don't read anything about his personal life in gossip pages.  I just can't see what there is about him that is so detestable.  If and when my sons become football fans, Donovan McNabb will be among the first names I mention when they ask me which players I admire most.
