What a weekend for all the Boston teams this weekend! The Celtics lose 2 in a row, losing to Hawks and the Pacers. The Bruins lose to the Penguins 6-5 in OT. The one that hurts the most is the Patriots losing to the Colts. Lets talk about the Pats game...what a great game. Pats did everything right the first half...they controlled both sides of the ball, they got the points they needed to control the outcome of the game, they were actually running the ball decent, which would help them control time of possession in the second half.....Peyton was doing his best to keep the Colts in it despite being down by 17...then came the 4th quarter. Besides the obvious 4th down call to go for it, there was some time management issues from the coaching staff....i honestly thought they were trying to make them jump offsides and then take the delay of game penalty, then punt. They are so used to making those types of plays to win the game and if they didn't, they would rely on their defense to bail them out. So the general consensus is that Belichik has lost his mind and everyone is upset about the play call. The Pats should not have been in that spot to begin with...their redzone efficiency is still down at the bottom of the league..they had the chance to put the game away for good but settled for a field goal which left it a 2 score game. Not sure if he had faith in his defense to stop them on a short field or if he just wanted to get the first down to run out the clock. if they hadn't taken the time out to discuss the 4th down play, they would have had a timeout to use for a challenge....we will never know for sure what Bill was thinking but the season goes on and they need to get ready for the Jets next week.

The Celtics losing to the Hawks was due to they couldn't get inside and get the rebounds. Atlanta was killing them for rebounds and inside the paint. So the C's went outside and went 1-15 from beyond the arc....then the next night they were just outscored by the Pacers. So the Celtics now have the next few days to regroup and get down to buisness. I didn't think they were going to win 72 games just by the way they opened the season but they should finish with at least 67-15.

The Bruins played their hearts out all night against the Penguins, continually coming from behind to tie the game, goal after goal. Then they actually take the lead late in the third period....really thought they had pulled it out for the win. Then I watched Bergeron's stick break when they had 4 guys in the Pittsburgh zone with an empty net and the Pens get started on a break away.....to give up the game-tying goal with 0.04 secinds left in just gut-wrenching. Even worse is to then give up the game-winning goal 1:24 into OT by the goaluie just plain old not paying attention and misplaying the puck nonchalantly is unexcuseable..Let's hope this doesn't keep happening or Thomas will lose his job to Rask
