The Big XII is very top heavy.  With Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M, they have great teams at the top of the conference.  The problem is that they are all in the Big XII South.  In the North, you have some weaker teams like Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas State at the top.  The Big XII has some weak teams like Iowa State, Kansas, Baylor, and Texas Tech.  The Big XII doesn't have any Heisman candidates either.  If it wasn't for the ACC, they would be at the bottom of the power conferences.

Key In-Conference Game
Oklahoma v. Texas in Dallas, October 6-This is pretty obvious.  Though the winner of the South will play a game on December 1st to decide who will go to a BCS bowl, any sane fan knows that this is the Big XII Championship game.  The best passing offense in the Big XII (Texas) will play the best passing defense in the Big XII (Oklahoma).  Offense wins games, but defense wins championships.  That is outdated.  Defense wins games.  Point Oklahoma.

Upset Alert
Missouri @ Colorado, November 3-With the North coming down to Nebraska and Missouri, you can see how Missouri could overlook the Buffaloes.  Colorado has a great coach with Dan Hawkins.  He was dominant at Boise State, and he can make Colorado a contender in the Big XII again.  I expect Colorado to play tough because "This is Division 1 football!  This ain't intramurals brother!"
