I took a little flack about my Strikeforce review. I'll address them point by VALID point. The Numbers are the comments and the Letters are my responses.

1. The Goober I didn't know was a former Pride commentator.

A) ok, All of my Pride events that I have SEEN were before Stephen Quadros was fired. 

Mauro Ranallo replaced Stephen Quadros after PRIDE 26. So, Ranallo did slightly more than half of all PRIDE events. That's event #32 of their 68 events. Mea Culpa. I guess I should have watched my Bushido events by now- (34/38/40) and I would have seen him already.

2. Fedor is the WAMMA champ (whatever that is) but Strikeforce has a champion, and that's Alistair Overeem. So Fedor couldn't defend a belt when the organization's champ is some other guy.

B) But WAMMA was not INTENDED to be so- when it started it was to be defended no matter WHAT show it was on. It was one of their UFC slams (where the UFC would not allow their titles to be defended at non-UFC events. So that's NO excuse. And Mousasi brings me to the next "point"

3. Mousasi's fight was also a non-title fight. This was in the "Japanese tradition" of having non-title fights with champions. 

C) This was in the USA. You have 4 fights, with your BIGGEST audience - and you don't showcase the BELTS? 


Like there was a CHANCE Fedor saw round 4, he at LEAST should have defended. American audiences hate hate HATE non title shots. Soko shouldn't have been a title shot- but he never should have gotten the fight. 

4. This wasn't SF's MMA debut.

D. On CBS. 

5. Hendo is a Middleweight

E) Fedor has fought Middleweights, and Hendo was the 205 Champion, Fedor is NOT BROCK- he walks around at 250 pounds and fights at around 235, according to most reports. Hendo can show up at 220 and be fully hydrated and only give up 15-20 pounds AT MOST

6. Fedor in PRIDE in shape? Are you kidding me?!?!? :D

Look at his early RINGS fights- he was young and that belly was there already!

F) Yeah, but how about in his Pride days? He looked IN SHAPE there, he wasn't Tim Silvia beer gut- but he looked BAD.
