Why can't we go back to the days of the creamsicle jerseys, an defense that teams with the most talented offenses are terrified to go up against, and championships. Those days seem far and gone for the 1-10 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Led by coach Raheem Morris and Quarterback Josh Freeman, the future seems bleak. Many questions arise when speaking about the Bucs. Other than Ronde Barber is there any vetran leadership? Are the building blocks really the ones needed to progress? What postitions are filled and which ones aren't? Tampa bay fans everywhere sit and wonder what is possibly to come of this young team? Can they succeed under Raheem Morris and his Pre-School style 3 headed running game. I don't think so. You have 3 running backs who first off obviously have no chemistry with there offensive line, maybe with the exception of Carnell Williams. They all have generally the same running style and if your going to run that kind of offense you have to have the 3 main running components. The Giants ran so effectivly with the 3 headed monster because they had the 3 components. Where you put them in the Depth Chart is up to the skill of the back. Power, Speed, Moderate. The Bucs have 3 moderate backs in Ward, Williams, and Smith. Now here is my suggestion for the Bucs coming into the offseason and the Draft...
-Look for an offensive linemen in free agency FIRST, there are more pressing needs that they have to adress in the Draft. Maybe bring in someone like Jon Runyan or Stephen Neal.
-Look to improve your outside linebackers. Im sorry but Quincy Black and Geno Hays aren't getting the job done.
-Get a solid backup for Sabby Pistachelli, maybe even a starter over him. Other than John Lynch white Defensive Backs just don't succeed in the NFL
-Re-sign Carnell Williams, release Derrick Ward or hold him for trade. The 2 running backs don't work well together, you have to keep Williams in this case, he is the better of the 2.
-Were looking at a top 3 pick here, i'd look to get Ndamukong Suh or Dez Bryant
