Last season, the league came down to the last game. Three teams had a chance to win it, but only one could and that team was Real Madrid. They are lead by captain Raul, defender Fabio Cannavaro, and young striker Robinho. They also have Ruud van Nisterlrooy and Sergio Ramos. They still have a very good team, mixed with veterans and youngsters. Not to mention they have a top three goalkeeper in Iker Casillas. Madrid will be a contender next year, for the UEFA Champions League and the La Liga. Barcelona finished in second in the past season. They went out and signed striker Thierry Henry, which is a huge boost to the strike core. They also have Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Deco, and Samuel Eto'o. They now have a squad that looks a lot like the Real Madrid 2001/2002 lineup. They are full of stars, which could mean success or extreme danger. Last year's suprise story was Sevilla. They finished in third place, missing out on the trophy by just a few points. For much of the season, they lead the table. But for a while they were written off, but they were in contention for the title on the last day of the season. They are lead by midfielder Renato, striker Fredi Kanoute, and defender Daniel Alves (don't know if he'll still be on the team at the end of the season). They have a very good team, look for them to contend if they can keep all of their players. The last team I'll talk about is Valencia. Many have forgotten about them. They made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and many forget just how good they are. They are lead by striker David Villa and midfielders Vicente, David Albelda, and Joaquin. They look like a team that could sneak up and win the La Liga, it wouldn't as big a deal as Sevilla, but it would be a suprise to many. One thing is for sure: the season will be very close.
1. Barcelona- they'll work it out and find a way to win.
2. Real Madrid- they play well, but not well enough.
3. Valencia- they have a great midfield ,and they will sneak up on everyone.
4. Sevilla- they make UCL, but they just miss out on the top 2 again.
