As i painfully watch these Fightin Phils now, i have discovered a plan for them to make the playoffs. As Flash Gordon comes off the DL, he already blew today's game with a 2 run homer to Prince Fielder to preserve a 6-5 loss in what could have been a much needed win. The bullpen needs help first. Lohse or Durbin, i think Lohse should go to the pen for help. Madson comes back whenever, i really don't now. Mesa is off and on, Myers is great but Manuel does not want to overwork him. Yea, smart move Charlie. Romero is wild but effective and Alfonseca, in my opinion, sucks. They need to acquire a pen guy, the perfect fit is someone from Houston. Lidge, Qualls or Wheeler. i dont know how they'' get one now but if they can, i say give up an outfielder. Werth, Rowand, Victorino, or Bourn can all be used as bait. That gives you much needed help in the bullpen. Secondly, be more patient in clutch. I saw Roberson swing at would have been ball 4 today. Chill. All the time, ill see them load the bases with one out and swing at the first pitch and ground into a double play, costing them a win. Relax and take a pitch or two. Pat the Bat has heated up and so has everyone on the offense. Howard could cut the K's but hey, he has 30 homers and 89 RBI, let him be. The Phils won't catch the Mets, but the wild card is within reach if Gillick can make it happen
