This is a new group that I joined..."Asterisk". I also woke up today and saw that I am now a "member plus". So, that gave me the authority to do a blog...
I also saw within this group that many of the members are putting an * somewhere in there name. If you look at mine: Mac: Fortunate Son*, I of course added one at the end. And to anyone who wants to know the meaning of my name in its entirety. Mac, is short for my last name, McGuire. Fortunate Son is a title of a Creedence Clearwater Revival song, and then you already know what the * is referring to. Its about Barry Bonds.
I want to go ahead right now and challenge all FanNation users who are in disgust of what transpired Tuesday night, to place an * somewhere in their profile name. Do it as a sign of protest of the man that just broke the single greatest record in all of sports. I myself have the asterisk not just because of the suspected cheating that Bonds is accused of, but the man himself. If you have ever paid any attention to Bonds over the years and even read "Game of Shadows", you know Bonds lacks character. He's a jerk, conceited, control freak, abusive, and down right filthy man. So its a double edged sword in my case, on one end its the cheating which is an insult to all former players, managers, owners, umpires, current players, managers, owners, umpires, and all fans. And on the other side is Bonds as a man.
To round this off...I again will challenge everyone of FanNation to place an * somewhere in their name as a sign of protest against Barry Bonds.

I did just to have it. Bonds breaking the record doesn't bother me, but if cheating to get it was his way then that makes it wrong. I have no beef with the man, but cheating is just not the way to do something.

A.G., I don't need proof in a court of law, I don't have him on trial. From what I've seen, his power stats have exploded, jumped way to high in just a few short years, while that time he got more massive, his head grew (which doesn't happen in adults), and he became more and more sly and deceiving. The guy was a HoF before he started juicing, that's why I hate him. He didn't need this yet he was so conceited that he cheated to be considered something better.
