After the mid-major predictions, getting to a BCS conference is relieving.  USC is clearly the favorite, as always, to take this conference, but it won't be easy.  UCLA, Cal, Oregon, and Oregon State will all try to take them down.  They will have to play well.  The Southern Cal defense is outstanding, and the UCLA offense isn't great.  Cal will be the biggest challenge with their offense.  While the Washington and Arizona schools aren't very competitive, Stanford is unbelievably bad.  USC should win this conference with ease.

Key In-Conference Game-UCLA @ USC: The intracity showdown at the end of the season will be more important than ever.  Both of these teams will be there at the end of the season, and this was a great game last year.  UCLA has returned 21 of its starters, and they know how to beat them.  Without the wide receivers on USC, the Bruins will have the edge when USC has the ball, but USC will win this game.  Karl Dorrell is not a good coach.  He cannot motivate his players.  Pete Carroll has the talent and coaching abilities to win this game.

Upset Alert-USC @ Cal: Cal has DeSean Jackson.  With the tough USC defense, the Golden Bears will need to get the ball in good field position to score points.  The Cal defense will also have to work hard to stop the Trojans.  The two fundamentals that Cal needs to use are good field position and low turnovers.  That is how you beat USC.  Cal has the best chance to beat the Trojans.
