This is a matter of opinion that, i am sure will vary many will agree and disagree. Barry Bonds will not have the record to long for two obvious reasons. First bud selig is still currently looking into a way to take away the record based on testimony from numerous people and the media that this getting. Bonds has done something that many will never forgive and that is cheating in a professinal sport. Many will say prove it first then i will change my mind well, its already been proven. Second is their are two great Home Run hitters still currently active that have a really good chance at knockin over 800 Homers.
Ken Griffey Jr. HE already has over 500 homers and is having a good season. Still has some time left to play agewise. the other being Alex Rodriguez he is the youngest player to ever hit 500 homers and if he still keeps the performance up he will take over the record. And the last fact of the matter is Bonds may have the Mlb Record but not the overall record that belongs to some japense or chinese guy its in the 800's so i dont expect him(bonds) to break that record after all he is 40 something
